MEET OUR
TEAM
I’m Tom Scalisi, and I’m the owner of RiddaBugs, but most importantly, I’m a husband and father. This is my team: My wife Kayla, Addie (our youngest), Natalie (our oldest), Tommy, and Audrey. They are why I am who I am today, and while I might be the one typing the articles, they’re very much a part of the RiddaBugs team.
When my wife and I started our journey together many years ago, we had no idea the adventures we’d see. She’s supported me through ups and downs, through career changes, and ultimately to where I am today: A successful author, in-demand content writer, and the owner of RiddaBugs.com.
I’ve worn many hats in my life. I was a contractor, a building maintenance technician, and even a cop in a busy city department for many years. I’m also a baseball coach, a beekeeper, and one heck of a cook.
Strangely enough, it was through beekeeping that I found my passion for pest control education. After losing hives, I learned how many things are contributing to the decline of beneficial pollinators. One of these factors was the irresponsible use of pesticides—products that I believe are necessary, but they require education.
Through RiddaBugs, I’m able to spread that passion and create awareness about responsible pest control. In fact, it’s the RiddaBugs’ opinion that folks who don’t know how to use pesticides safely should call professional pest control companies and allow them to apply targeted pesticides, miticides, and larvicides safely and responsibly.
That’s why I produce unbelievable content as much as I possibly can, but also why I partner with outstanding pest control companies that believe in educating their customers. Every pest control company we partner with offers their customers a blog or newsletter that educates them on the pests in their home and what they can do about them. This aligns with our message here at RiddaBugs.
Our mission is to make a difference through education, responsibility, and leadership.
